OK, you’ve probably heard it before. You need to reach the hit cap when your raiding at level 80. By raiding i mean 25 and 10 man’s. You can do this by gear, gemming or using Focused Aim talent. Focused Aim will reduce you hit rating required by 3%. Also if your a Dranaei it’s another 1% off what you need. See the list below for what you need to aim for.

Keep in mind that you need to round all these figures up. If you are a Night Elf Hunter with no points in Focused Aim, you need to have 263 hit rating to be hit capped. The reason for this is that Blizz in their ultimate wisdom decided to transfer this hit rating to your pet but only in whole percentages. So if your at 262 hit raiting (a measly 0.32 below the cap) which to you will look close enough to 8%, your pet will actually be sitting at 7%. He (or she) will miss. Remove this problem by rounding up.

You don’t want to end up like this:

Miss

Furn

Edit: Can’t remember where I picked this table up from. I found it over 12 months ago. It might have been over at EJ’s. Thank you to the original author for putting all the hard work into it in the first place.
